Dear Chairman Wheeler,
I don’t envy the difficult task ahead of your in navigating the political and constituent challenges for the FCC. But for the past few weeks, I have watch and been disappointed by the muddled stance of the FCC on Net Neutrality.
As a citizen and entrepreneur, from the FCC’s past actions, I believe that the FCC has either lacked the authority or the desire to create a more competitive environment for us. I would love for you to change that and show us that the FCC really is interested in creating a level playing field for all of us — even those of us who do not hire lobbyists. As you have written about in your books, every little skirmish counts. And we need new tactics for todays’ communications infrastructure. The old FCC has failed me. It’s time to declare new leadership that believes in competition.
I would like to ask that:
1) Use all the regulatory powers of FCC to ensure a true Net Neutrality across all communication types
2) You oppose the merger of Comcast and Time Warner Cable
3) Ask Congress for a more authoritative mandate and powers to enforce them.
