My Last Upgrade

I upgraded this blog from WordPress v. old.old to the latest version (which means I no longer need to do manual upgrades in the future). Every time I interact with Automattic’s products I am very impressed by their ability to translate technical prowess into effectiveness. It’s something that we try to emulate at Cheezburger.

Kudos, Automattic.

  1. It is amazing how it all just works when you upgrade a really old version. I think you’ll also really like the new 1-click upgrade – no more excuses for running an old version :)

  2. Dude, I just saw some of your videos on youtube. Congrats on all the progress! What if the next step were creating a wannabe ninja community called boardnothitback.com?

  3. Hi Ben!

I absolutely agree, Automattic is GREAT! I’d love to see more companies like them!

I have a question… Would you like to buy http://www.icanhasmotivation.com from me? I’ve given up because I can’t figure out how to make money from it! I think you, out of anyone on the planet, have the most chance of making something big of this site.

    Keep up the good work!

  4. I’ll take that as a no… hmm

  5. Ben,

I heard that you may have sold Itchmo and the forums. If so, can you post a notice there? Members might still be sending PM’s to you via the admin account there thinking you are using that account. I think people would prefer and deserve to know if a forum they are using has changed hands, since there has been a certain amount of trust created when the Itchmo blog and the Itchmoforums were owned by a well-known person.

    Thanks!
